A weekend of fun for the whole family

School may be back in session, but we’re hanging on to the last few weeks of summer. Whether you’re planning a short trip over Labor Day or your kiddos are “coming down with something” (*cough cough* we won’t tell)—we’ve planned a weekend of fun for all ages!

MANITOU CLIFF DWELLINGS

Journey back in time

The magic and mystery of Native American culture is on full display at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings! Explore inside, touch history and learn about the ancient cliff dwellers while browsing through the museum.

You could spend an entire day at Cave of the Winds and never go underground. With the Pioneer Package, you’ll maneuver the Wind Walker Challenge Course high above the canyon, soar above the clouds in the Bat-A-Pult Zip Line, challenge yourself on the Cliff Hanger Climbing Wall and rise to the top of Geronimo’s Leap.

Take your pioneering skills underground: The Discovery Tour is perfect for families! This tour will guide you through 15 underground rooms while you learn about the history and geology of the cave and come face to face with some of its most beautiful formations.

Take a ride above the clouds

As the temperature begins to cool down, there’s no better time to ride the Cog Railway past the alpine zone and through the clouds to the top of Pikes Peak. This 3.5-hour round trip offers 360-degree views and 40 minutes to explore the summit.
